By Terry Eye Serum

By Terry Clarte de Rose Firming Lift Radiant Eye Serum

I am oddly prone to eye puffiness in the morning – despite getting 8.5 hours of sleep pretty religiously throughout my adult life.  Better puffy than dark circles though, right?  This is the one and only cream/serum that has ever succeeded in de-puffing me!  I absolutely adore it.  It doesn’t irritate eyes and although it is a “serum” it goes on more like a cream, feeling hydrating and moisturizing.  It contains 46 active ingredients that fight dark circles, wrinkles, and of course puffiness.  Of course some of those ingredients are derived from the signature rose. I swear you wake up looking smooth & refreshed.  New Moms, you NEED this!! Pretty spectacular. Buy at Beauty.com & get a special offer – I’ve added a link below.

Balm by Dr. Hauschka

Dr. Hauschka Lip Balm

This is an incredible lip balm that won’t break the bank.  It is super long lasting and doubles as a great cuticle cream. Dr. Hauschka’s products are all holistic and not tested on animals.  This yummy balm has Calendula, St. John’s Wort & Jojoba oils to gently condition lips without causing product dependency.  It feels lovely on lips and is very hydrating and conditioning.

Happy Hump Day!  If you're in Nashville -- buy it at Whole Body.

ReVive Facial Cream

ReVive Sensitif Cellular Repair Cream SPF 15

Hands down the most incredible facial cream I’ve ever tried.  I’m using several samples (thank you Woo Atlanta) and I’m definitely going to have to find a way to incorporate this into my daily routine because I know I cannot live without it.  It’s funny because I thought I was hallucinating (no joke), as this cream, literally immediately, makes your skin look better and more even-toned but alas, I was not!  Part of this cream’s very powerful allure is that it does, in fact, immediately improve your skin’s appearance (especially skin that has signs of sun damage or premature aging). The cream is so effective it can actually help heal post operative or chemically treated skin up to 40% faster.  Wowza, right???

The science in the cream is “EGF” aka Epidermal Growth Factor – a protein molecule that occurs naturally, it turns over top layers of dryer, older skin and lets new, younger layers “bloom” or surface. The result, again, is immediate overall improvement and younger, fresher, more gorgeous skin.  If you buy anything for yourself this season – BUY THIS.  You will thank me and your skin will thank you.

Chantecaille Petales

Chantecaille Petales Eau de Parfum

I got this scent as a mistake but loved it so much that I ended up keeping it! It’s like a breath of spring air in the dead of winter.  It is lighter and more floral than the scents I usually go for… maybe I was due for a change?? Balsam, tuberose, & jasmine are the main components in this ethereal fragrance though it is warmed up a bit by gardenia, musk & sandalwood.  It is delicious.  Thank you, Mum.

Chantecaille’s scents stay on the skin better than any other brand, IMO, but are never too heavy or overpowering.  I got the mini roll-on size for Christmas and as soon as I take it out of my bag, it immediately makes me smile & lightens my day.  My only complaint about this brand’s perfume is that the fragrances aren’t offered in multiple (or even 2) sizes.  Springing for the one-size-only $175 bottle is tough but, it’s huge and they are truly spectacular.

Here is a link to the product at Nordstrom:

If you aren’t jumping at the thought of dropping close to $200 right after Christmas… Neiman’s still has the $68 limited edition roll-on version:

Woo -- Atlanta Store Review

Woo Atlanta – Peachtree Battle Shopping Center

I made a long overdue visit to Woo’s Atlanta location on NYE for a makeover courtesy of one of my favorite new beauty lines, (Pla) & the line’s CEO & creator, Stephanie Green Bass.  Ayan was my makeup artist and working with her was such a treat.  I requested a natural smoky eye and a few false lashes, just at the corners, for a little extra flair.  (Pla) makes a fabulous mineral foundation that really does create a flawless canvas, which we started with – the eyes just kind of amped up my NYE look.  My application was at 2 pm and after a massage, dinner, and party… at 2 a.m. I was still looking pretty fab.  This could also be due to the haze I was in given the massive amount of champagne I consumed. :)

In any event, Woo Atlanta is an adorable little nook of a store packed with all my favorite products (Including some hard to find brands like Tocca that I love!), stacked in every corner and armed with a bevy of makeup artists plus treatment rooms.  Product lines include: Darphin, Fresh, Yves Saint Laurent, Skinceuticals, & Trish McEvoy – just to highlight a few. The store is open, airy, and very light.  LOVE it.  I snapped a couple pics & of course, a pic of the very talented Ayan & I after my makeover.  I cannot wait to visit Woo in Atlanta again.

New Year, New Hair!

Sojourn Shampoo/Conditioner

I decided to go back to my roots, so to speak, and embrace my more natural dark blonde/light brown hair color.  I did this with the help of my longtime hair guru/stylist, Jeffrey Todd Williams, of Lotus Hair Artisans, Atlanta.  This was a HUGE decision for me and I’m happy to report that 10 days later – I still love it.

When your hair is as long as mine it is of the utmost importance that it looks healthy and the color is impeccable – to say it is high maintenance would be a colossal understatement!  I will always have long hair and I will always have to spend a good bit of money to keep it up.  Long hair is my signature and I’m ok with spending the $ but it had gotten a little out of control seeing as how I’m not a celebrity and do not come with my own personal traveling beauty team.

JT cut and shaped my locks, low lighted my whole head & glazed and toned me!  3 hours later -- voila!  Now, to keep up my new gorgeous tresses I will be using Sojourn cololur preserve products until I schlep back to Atlanta in 7 weeks for a touch-up. These products are new to me and AMAZING!  They have UV, free radical and color preserving protection. The whole line is sulfate and paraben free and blended with keratin.  The line is also created with special PH balances ensuring healthy, strong, shiny hair with color preserving effects.  My fly-aways were tamed and my color looks just as fresh and gorgeous as it did when I cruised out of the salon on Dec. 24.  I’ve added a pic of my new locks, a link to Lotus and a link to Sojourn’s website below.  Happy 2012!!
