By Terry Liquid Blush

By Terry Rose de Rose Sheer Liquid Blush in Fresh

I know, I know… I’m playing favorites this month but, I just can’t help myself.  As I’ve mentioned before I’m blush application challenged.  Well, not anymore!!!

This amazing By Terry formula is so sheer, gorgeous and perfect that it’s near impossible to screw it up.  Plus, I watched this great tutorial by Lisa Eldridge and now I’m a liquid blush wizard!! Check out her awesome website for more helpful tips:

This liquid blush is like a highlighter that doesn’t settle into pores or fine lines.  It is so easy to smooth onto your cheeks and it blends so naturally.  It really just instantly adds a pretty glow that brightens up your whole look.  I sometimes get sick of using bronzer and am really trying to embrace a more natural, pale look this winter without feeling washed out and this liquid color totally does the trick!

It’s pricey but a pin point of product goes a LONG way so you’ll basically not need to buy another bottle for, seriously, years!  Here is a link to the product at Barney’s:

Oribe Shampoo/Conditioiner -- Moisture Control

Oribe Shampoo & Conditioner for Moisture & Control

I have long stated my love of Oribe products and this shampoo/conditioner duo is no exception.  It smells wonderful, is rich and creamy, lathers in the most lovely & luxurious fashion and leaves hair sleek, smooth, hydrated and easy to control.  It’s perfect for people with super thick voluminous hair that prefer a more sleek style.  It left my hair glossy and manageable and definitely tamed my flyaways and frizz.  The formula is designed to form a protective layer that ensures hair is coated and sealed from humidity/extreme weather.  I LOVE it… I’ve been using a deluxe sample courtesy of www.SpaceNK.com (sidebar: awesome website that stocks hard to find products) and I will definitely be buying my own full size bottles as soon as my current shampoo/conditioner assortment is in need of replenishing.  Here is a link to the product on Amazon:

By Terry Cream Blush

By Terry Velvet Cream Blush in Apple Glow

I’m challenged in the blush application department and always have been… this one makes it a little easier on me.  I’m not going to lie though – I just cannot mimic professional results.  The color is gorgeous and creamy and goes on light and sheer.  This one really gives you a "glowing or lit from within" type of look and is easy to blend without being overly heavy.  It also stays put -- no migration with this formula!! I’m also in love with By Terry’s liquid blush which I’ll review next week.  Of course you can build this one (like most cream formulas) for a more dramatic look.

I think By Terry should start paying me for all this free marketing/advertising!!

Lash Pics -- week #6

6 week mark Trish Lash Enhancer

Ok, drum roll….

I have hit the 6 week mark using the Trish Nighttime lash enhancer (see my 9/29/11 post) & these are my results….

I will admit that probably 4 nights, but 4 nights only, I spaced (probably had too much wine) and forgot to apply it – aside from those slip ups my application has been 100% consistent.

                                                                     (Before)

                                                                   (after no makeup)

                                                                      (after with makeup)

What do you think?

I'm undecided.  Definitely not overwhelmed with the results...
(again, not the best photos due to my asking my husband to do this at 10:00 pm on a work/week night.  Thx, Al!)

Shiseido Foundation Brush

Shiseido Perfect Foundation Brush

Like the name claims… this really is the perfect foundation brush.  I do not buy many brushes, probably because I spend so much $$ on makeup and clothes that I just cannot bear the brush price tags too but, the right brush makes a world of difference.  This one is fantastic.  It is fool-proof and distributes foundation evenly and streak free on your face leaving you seamless and even.  This brush can be used on liquid, cream or powder.  It never sheds (god knows there is nothing like realizing you’ve spent half your day with a black blush brush bristle stuck to your face)  and is so soft and sturdy.  The short handle allows perfect application and the contour of the brush glides into every curve of your face.  Shiseido brushes are super reasonable too – no grimacing at this price tag.  Mine was a gift, even better, thx Mum!

By Terry Loose Powder

By Terry Voile Poudre Eclat – Correcting Mattifying Loose Powder

This weightless sheer powder is incredible and wears better than any powder or foundation I’ve ever used.  My shade is “nude beige” – a light dusting of this over my By Terry foundation and I’m about as airbrushed looking as I’m ever going to get.  For a very light/sheer look this powder can be worn alone as well.  It immediately makes your face look illuminated and radiant and honestly, I’ve never seen my pores look even remotely this invisible.  The powder comes in a variety of shades and you can use the cooler shades to highlight and/or contour.  For $65 I would actually describe this product as a steal – plus you get a really large container.  It kept my skin looking fresh and fabulous during some seriously crazy weather in the Bahamas last week. I’m unequivocally head over heels in love.

You’re crazy not to try this line (I'm obsessed in case you hadn't already caught on by the flurry of posts) …
