My End of Summer/Season Skincare routine by Cle de Peau

I like to change things up from time to time… it keeps the routine fresh and I think it helps you actually realize what products are working for you & which products you can do without.  Change is good, right?

Lately I’m loving Cle de Peau’s Gentle Balancing Lotion – a toner that gently moisturizes while also smoothing skin and minimizing pores.  Your complexion almost immediately feels and looks more youthful, radiant, and clear.  It’s pretty amazing!  Long term benefits include more balanced, hydrated, healthier skin overall from the inside out.  I’ve been using it morning and night.

I’m following up the lotion in the morning with Cle de Peau’s Gentle Protection Emulsion SPF 20 – a daytime emulsion that’s perfect for all skin types (except the ultra-dry) that protects against UV rays, dryness, and various damaging environmental factors.  I think this emulsion actually functions as an excellent primer for under your foundation too.  As with most Cle de Peau skincare, both of these products contain a “Cellular IC Normalizer” ingredient which improves and stimulates cellular functioning.  The result is gorgeous, glowing skin that’s well protected too!

Guerlain Foundation

Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Foundation

An amazing, barely there formula, that melts right into your skin and looks flawless and completely natural.  Ideal for those wanting moderate coverage without the look of moderate/ heavy makeup sitting on the skin.  Almost like a glorified tinted moisturizer.  This liquid is light as air and blends seamlessly.  It’s truly a game changer in the foundation world and I highly recommend trying it out.  I’ve been using shade 3 and pairing it with my Guerlain bronzer.

Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer

Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder

I’m quickly becoming a major Guerlain fan.  My newest fav is their Terracotta bronzing powder.  I am using shade 3 which is considered a golden tone color for “brunettes” (yes, I’m back to dark blonde again now – the ombre didn’t work out – I’ll try to snap a hair pic to show you this weekend) and it is gorgeous (the powder & the hair).  The shades meant for blondes are more rose toned and I try to steer clear of formulas with a pink base given the amount of red naturally occurring in my skin.  The shades are all sheer and buildable enough that I imagine they would work for most complexions year round.  The powder formula is moisturizing so it looks lovely on skin and doesn’t dry out or settle into pores, etc.  The truly unique and amazing texture (virtually flawless) is supposedly Guerlain’s best kept secret and the component that wins this bronzer awards year after year after year.  Moreover, how chic is the little tortoise shell compact?

Happy Friday!  I’m ready for a weekend that involves LOTS of yummy food, lots of yoga, and some time with the gals while my hubby golfs at the lake.  XOXO

The Cure

Natura Bisse The Cure Sheer Touch Bronzer

This is a hydrating gel formula bronzer that immediately gives you a bronze glow which deepens over time.  It covers redness (me!) beautifully and is super easy to blend.  I have read that some found it so hydrating they could skip moisturizer – though I still had to use mine.  I've used it on my face and body and was super pleased with the results!  It did not irritate my sensitive/breakout prone skin in the least bit and it conceals fine lines and wrinkles.  The pigments in this genius formula adapt to any skin tone so there’s no risk of looking orange or like you’re from the cast of Jersey Shore!  And... in the spirit of the Jersey Shore (totally my guilty pleasure) – I give this product multiple fist pumps!  Yeah buddy!!
