The Change-Up

I’ve been using this Cle de Peau foundation for a long while and loving it, but, I’m thinking I’m going to change it up as we head into the miserably hot summer months here in the semi-deep south.  It’s pretty heavy, that being said, the tiniest drop goes such a long way & it’s ideal mixed with moisturizer and, it is totally seamless in terms of application.  It has SPF, is long lasting, and honestly, I bought the tube last Aug.  Pricey, yes, but worth the money?  Absolutely.

Hmm.  On second thought, maybe I don’t want to switch... but, there are others out there that are half the price.

I was going to pop into Nordstrom’s this weekend and try these two:

Or maybe this?

Capri is in the air...

The candle love affair continues....

Anybody hear of this guy?  I've read about Capri Blue's "the volcano" candle forever and was given one as a hostess gift this weekend.  AMAZING plus the blue jar is so pretty. Anthropology stocks them.

Lanvin's ME

Lanvin ME Eau de parfum

I love the perfume but was disappointed today when I looked it up and saw the bottle. It’s kind of cheesy (for lack of a better word), maybe gaudy is better or fake, right?  Lanvin is such a magnificent and classic label with jewels and shoes to boot.  I expected the bottle to be gorgeous…just like my favorite pair of Lanvin wedges.

Anyhoo, onto the actual scent.  It is lovely.  In this odd but nice way it reminds me of black licorice.  The scent is said to be blueberry based with white floral and, what do you know, liquorice black wood.  It’s really addictive and not too strong at all.  I have worn it the past 2 days and was pleased when I could still smell it lingering faintly at 5 pm.  It’s sweet but musky.  Feminine but not too floral.  It just might be my next perfume, unsightly bottle and all, the little blue signature box it comes in is pretty fab tho, huh?

HYDE Salon Review - Nashville

Hyde Salon – Nashville

I usually travel to Atlanta for my hair cuts & color and my man, Jeffrey, will always be my #1 but it is so super nice to finally have someone I can entrust my mess of hair with in Nashville!  I mean, it’s not like I’ve lived here for over a decade or anything???

Recently I’m rocking and loving the super low maintenance ombre look with minimal face framing highlights.

Check out these pics and tell me you don’t love this color & cut???

How cute are my Mama and baby too??

I’ve been scared of layers pretty much my whole life but I finally was ready for a change and for some MAJ inches taken off the length & I have to say I’m thrilled with the result and feel about 10 lbs. lighter.

I see Sarah Hardcastle, a Nashville girl, that recently came back to her roots from L.A.  She is gorgeous (as is Hyde), seriously skilled and so fun to talk with...  Hyde is attached to the recently renovated Jamie where I get my brows done (Carol Templeton) and where I love to shop.  Recent Jamie purchases have been James Perse tees and tanks.  Oh, and the scalp massage that Jacob gives is heaven!  Talk about stress relief.

I love the staff at Hyde and I love how it’s never overly crowded or noisy.  It’s peaceful, pretty and well, pretty much perfect!

Check out the link above and pop in for a blowout, cut or color!
