Estee Lauder Private Collection Eau de Parfum

Estee Lauder Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia

I really want someone to buy this for me!!  Mum… Allan…Are you reading??  I’m obsessed with tuberose and gardenia so it’s no surprise that I’m lusting after this scent big time.  This scent was originally created by Aerin Lauder and intended for only her and her closest friends.  It is described as a “lush floral that is timeless, luxurious, and elegant” – I just couldn’t have said it any better myself.  Moreover, the bottle is gorgeous and inspired by a necklace Aerin inherited from her famous Grandmother.  Though your Grandmother’s floral perfume this certainly is not. I’m not a big floral perfume fan but something about this scent in the dead of winter is so appealing.  It makes me smile every time I spritz it on.  It lasts quite a long time on my skin and I’ve received multiple compliments while wearing it.

Eye Pencil MAJOR Steal!!!!!!

L’oreal Extra Intense Eyeliner in Carbon Black

Yep, I’m pushing an $8 drugstore eye pencil.  It’s nothing short of incredible – it’s the easiest pencil to use and it stays on forever, yet easily washes off with a bit of makeover remover or soap/water.  It goes on like a liquid (hello cat eyes!) but with the convenience of a pencil and doesn’t budge.  I’m seriously obsessed.  It is the best, super dark, inky shade of black and looks gorg on.  Go buy it.  Thank me later.

Seraphine Designs

Seraphine Designs

I was so happy to support another talented local designer & artisan, Brooke Seraphine, by purchasing one of her gorgeous pyrite and crystal cuff bracelets.  Brooke’s handmade creations are striking and unlike anything else I’ve seen on the market.  If you’re in Nashville, you can find her fabulous chokers and bracelets at Jamie or H. Audrey – go figure, my 2 favorite stores.  I first noticed Brooke’s bracelets in Jamie and let me tell you, it’s no small feat to have your pieces nestled up close to those by maj designers like Lanvin and Kimberly McDonald.  Brooke’s crystal cuffs were the first things that caught my eye!  Check out her website below and this instagram shot of the piece I picked!

A great touch-up powder option

MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder (NC25)

Finally, the perfect, inexpensive, nice & light touch up powder!  What was serving as my touch up powder until I bought this guy, was truly a sin.  It was old and cracked and disgusting.  I figured I’d just grab a powder while picking up the “Zoom” mascara I blogged about yesterday, and totally lucked out in getting a super knowledgeable sales girl who helped me make a quick and accurate decision.

This powder is finely milled which keeps it sheer and light and the yellow based undertones of the NC25 shade I chose help to conceal my skin’s natural pinky redness.  I love this formula because it doesn’t feel like you’re just piling more makeup on top of existing makeup – it just kind of freshens things up and absorbs oil & shine!  The compact comes with a velvet powder puff and a built in mirror.  For $24, to toss in your handbag, this is a no-brainer!

Zoom Fast Mascara

MAC Zoom Fast Mascara

Major definition.  Major length.  Major volume.  Plus, it’s the blackest of inky black shades.  It is truly unbelievable the difference it makes!  The only downside to this incredible formula is that it takes a bit longer than usual to dry – I had to clean up a few areas with a q-tip.  I honestly look like I’ve got lash extensions --  so I’ll deal with the tiny extra step.
